March Madness

March was a pretty busy month for us.  Who am I kidding?  Is there ever a month that isn't busy in our lives???  It started out with a bang with one of my dearest college friends flying in from Maryland to visit and stay with us a couple of days.  Sarah and I had dinner out at Crescent City, rode around Hattiesburg for a tour, and just had some really good quality time together.  Ryleigh Jane was pretty smitten with her as well, and she was super sad when she left.

Brad also felt the urge to spend some dough, and he was ready for a different ride.  He ended up talking me into buying a new truck, and it is really a pretty one.  He went the same day and got a big "man" toolbox installed, and now he has added steps on the side.  He absolutely loves his new ride!

Ryleigh Jane also had a new thing in her little world.  She got to dance/perform on the big stage in Picayune for the dance team's Spring Show.  She went to Little Pride Camp one Saturday morning, and the next Friday they had dress rehearsal.  Things were not looking too promising at first because she wouldn't get on stage.  She told my sister she would not get on the stage at dress rehearsal, but she would definitely perform and do it all on Saturday.  And guess what?  She did exactly that, and she performed great!

Finally, we attended an Easter Egg Hunt in Lumberton to get the Easter festivities kicked off.  Brad and I are co-sponsors of the Lamar County Youth Council, and each year they plan an Easter Egg Hunt.  Ryleigh Jane helped me hide the eggs along with all the other Youth Council kids.  They are all in high school, so she thought she was really important :)  When all the kids came, she and Josie and Paw Paw hunted eggs until they were exhausted and decided it was time for cupcakes.  Josie was a little unsure of the Easter Bunny, but we finally convinced her to stand next to him.

She never took her eyes off of him.  It was really cute!
