Lab tests are no fun

As most of you know, Ryleigh Jane had a UTI about 2 weeks ago. The poor baby was so sick. She would just lay around and want you to hold her. She would be so still and just let you love all over her. She is a very active and hyper little girl, so I knew something was wrong with her almost immediately. (Maw Maw Touchstone swears the illness made her sweeter, but I don't know about that ;) She was already pretty sweet before.) Anyway, the doctor suggested that we have some precautionary lab tests done to make sure the sweet baby didn't have urinary reflux. Although we felt these tests were unnecessary, we had them done because it was our precious little angel that needed them.

So off the the main Hattiesburg Clinic we went. Mimi was sweet enough to drive up and go with us since her daddy had to work. We didn't have to wait long before they called us back for the ultrasound. That was the easy part! We waited a little longer, and they called us back for the catheter/dye test. Ryleigh Jane was being so brave and happy that when the nurse came in to do the catheter, she said, "I just don't know how I am going to do this to this precious happy baby. She is too cute for me to do something so ugly to." Well, we got it done with our very trendy hospital gown on and all. Ryleigh Jane only cried while they inserted it and pushed the dye. As soon as they took it out, she was giving us that big smile again. She was a trooper! Thank you MiMi for going with us. The test results came back fine for those of you wondering. She is healthy as a horse, a miniature one that is!
