Each year, the football team gets to choose homecoming maids for their grade. For fourth grade Ryleigh Jane, Marie Kate, and Leah got chosen to represent the team. Ryleigh Jane was more embarrassed than anything, but underneath her cloud of embarrassment was a hint of excitement! I was excited for her to just be able to participate in the excitement and fanfare of the big event. She has watched several friends do all of the fun stuff, including Josie, so I was happy she got to do it too :) First there was a pep rally at school that she was escorted at and performed with her cheer squad.
The next event is the Hoco parade in the quaint town of Sumrall. It's truly one of my favorite events the town puts on! Ryleigh Jane got to ride in a fancy convertible and have a cute sign made for the side of her car and everything! It's such a fun and nostalgic type event that takes me back to the days of "Grease."
