Dance Recital 2014

Dance Recital day was a busy one for us this year.  We had our last Little Dragons game of the season at 9.  RJ scored a goal in that game, and I was so super thrilled!  She got her little feelings hurt though because the coach thought the little girl next to her kicked it in and picked her up and spun her around.  Ryleigh just looked at me like what the heck????  She knew by my expression that I had seen her kick it in, and I think that made it ok :)

Josie is missing because her recital started at 11!  We made a quick exit from here to go watch her tear up the stage!  

We then headed to North Forrest for the 2 recitals we had for the day.  Josie was first, and she did a fine job!  I told Katie we will wait a couple of years, and the we can start making them compete as a duet.  They will be one dynamic duo!  

(I didn't get any pics of Josie :(  We had to go eat some lunch really quick in between the 2 shows so that RJ wouldn't get "hangry" during her performance. )

Ryleigh Jane was so excited about dancing on the big stage this year!  She was Flounder from the Little Mermaid and Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.  She had a hard time at dress rehearsal with looking to the side and not "knowing" her dances.  We had a good talk about performing and how you entertain your audience.  She is such a rule follower, so once I told her you weren't supposed to look to the side she took that and ran with it.  She really did a great job!  Hopefully she will stick with it, and I will have a dancer to watch for a long time.
