First Day in Disney

After we finally got settled in our room, looked around the resort, and ate a late lunch, we decided to let Ryleigh Jane see "the castle" at the Magic Kingdom.  We got her up from her nap and got her dressed in one of the many outfits my mom had made for this trip.  We told her where we were going when we got on the bus, but I really wish I would have had a video camera for her reaction when she saw the castle off in the distance from the bus window.  It was the sweetest expression of pure excitement that I have ever seen on her pretty, little face. She shouted, "It's Disneyworld!  Mama, the castle!"  We made our way into the park, and we stopped to watch a show on the big stage at the castle.  RJ was totally enthralled with the theatrics and talked about the "magic witch" she saw on stage for the rest of the week.  After the show, we made our way back to Fantasy Land and onto Ryleigh Jane's first ride in Disney.  I thought it would be appropriate to ride It's a Small World as her very first so that's just what we did.  She was a little taken aback, but she decided she liked it after all.  We also rode the Pirates of the Caribbean, which she wasn't really too pumped about.  It scared her pretty badly and that made me feel bad.  We wrapped up our night pretty early, so we could get up early the next morning to hit the parks!  Overall, her first day was pretty awesome :)

Waiting on our bus to take us to the park.

This is when she saw "the castle" for the first time!

Isn't that baby so sweet with how excited she is?!

Just having a snack and hanging out...

On our way in, she couldn't take her eyes off that castle!

Watching the "magic witch" with her daddy.

Getting on It's a Small World for the first time ever!

Checking out part of the Pirates ride...She was already scared at this point.
