Independence Day

Fourth of July weekend was a pretty slam packed weekend for us.  My parents were going to the beach with our old family friends the Bowens, and they wanted us to go.  The only problem was that Brad had a big political rally to go to in Sumrall on that Monday.  Being the hyper person I am, I decided to do both.  Ryleigh Jane and I headed out to Perdido late Friday night to meet my family for a couple days.  We had a really good time catching up on old times, but we missed Brad a whole lot.  RJ didn't like the beach in the morning time, but after a lunch and a nap she was good to go!  Although, she never got to a point when she would get near the surf.  She did like to swim in the water as long as you were holding her.  That girl can be pretty particular, aka spoiled, in some ways :)

We all have white faces from putting on Water Babies :)

Mr. Dana sure is good at building stuff in the sand.  He was always good at this, and seeing him be so proud of this took me back to my childhood memories.

2 of the hottest babes on the beach!

Justin was probably sore from pulling these kiddos around in the boat all weekend.  RJ would NOT ride in it.  Crazy girl!

Mr. Dana made RJ a sand chair to sit in, but it was within 10 feet of the surf, so that was a definite no-go for her.  She just wanted her momma!

We drove back home on Sunday evening to catch the fireworks at church.  Ryleigh Jane loved these a lot!
Here is that silly close-mouth smile she has been into doing lately.

Adoring the fire booms with daddy.

These always remind me of jellyfish for some reason.

On Monday morning, we got up really early and headed to Sumrall to campaign.  Brad really knocked it out of the park.  He is going to do awesome on August 2, and I can't wait to see the results!  Thanks to all of our family and friends that helped make July 4 a success!
Riding in the celebration parade.

Our set-up which included fresh cut, iced watermelon, popsicles, candy, cheetohs, and trail mix.

Brad gave an awesome speech! Wish I had recorded it.

Ryleigh Jane shared her trail mix and M and M's with Ryan Reid's little girl.  She is soooo sweet!

Here is our crew!  I love these people :)
